This is not the hello he was expecting. He takes the briefest look at the handful of papers he's automatically accepted, pairs them with the 'greeting', and is scoffing a laugh even as he steps aside to allow Logan in.
"Absolutely not." And he's immediately trying to hand back those papers, thank you so much but no thank you at all. "Hello to you, too."
He tried. With a shrug he collects his paperwork again and stashes it away in a pocket.
"Well, you lemme know if you find a worthy candidate. Feel like I got enough clout to grease those wheels at the moment." At the moment, because he doesn't expect that'll last long.
"Good t'see you, Doc. Nice place. I got some odds and ends for you as well as a story about a crime family in Central City— not necessarily related. You got anything t'drink?"
Logan's been here for under a minute and already we have mayoral elections, Central City crime and a bag of bits and pieces. Got to hand it to him, when he shows up he doesn't do it empty handed.
Amusement plain on his face, Stephen guides him to follow him through to the lounge room (and his drinks cabinet) with a tilt of the head. They can get to the story and the odds and ends in a second, Stephen isn't done with the mayor business.
"You won't run? Sounds like they asked you pretty personally."
And given some of the idiots that get into politics, maybe Logan wouldn't actually be a bad call. He may be half-joking, amicable humour in his tone in spite of the earnest question.
