So. When are you thinking you'll put it up?

We'll give the new arrivals time to settle in and get their IDs and get a feel for the world. Once that's happened, I'll bring it to their attention.

sensing resignation, Stephen approaches with the rest of his kit and without much caution. ]

[ the detail's the important part, less the circumstance. with that information in tow, it's on with the disinfectant swab. treatment all planned out. ]

[ His nose wrinkles. He hasn't had somebody clean his wounds since he was thirteen. ]

[ conscious of the room for discomfort, Stephen's work is quick and efficient. stitches are one thing he's still not brought himself to do on actual skin since arriving here but this is a simple enough fix, a little medical glue and some suture strips to hold it in place ought to bypass the need, quality of resources here being what they are.

[ He doesn't so much as flinch while Stephen does what he needs to do, but he looks annoyed at the fussing. ]

And how are you paying for this place?

Had a little put aside from my last job. I'll be moving out next month.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just get another job?

I don't need this apartment, I do need flexibility. Once the safehouse is up and running, Markus and I intend to be a guaranteed presence.

but it's not as though he's been keeping it a secret, it just doesn't tend to come up. so. ]

Almost all of it. The power loss is new but otherwise it's not as much of a shock to me as it has been for others.

The situation itself is outside of my usual remit. I don't tend to work on a human level - guns and abductions and political intrigue aren't my usual wheelhouse.
