I want to invite everyone to join us. It affects all the Displaced, if what the people making those shrines believe is true. Ball said there'd be proof at the gates. ??? It'll remind people that we're all on the same side with things in common.
Oh. He's found the link. Come on, old man, keep up. ]
Making people aware of what may potentially be found and how it unites us is a good idea. Offering them the opportunity to come along may be a good idea too, but perhaps one of the other locations.
If it's still anything like it was when I lived on this planet, Mt Everest isn't exactly a beginner's hike.
Okay. Well we can still invite everyone. And warn them about the risks. Then when we share our findings, we can talk about how to get to the other gates and people will be interested. Right?
But why does Everest need to be the first? If you'd like to use it as a rallying point, it may be better to start with one that isn't as big of a risk for people without the prerequisite physical conditioning.
I think it's a good idea to get people working together around a shared purpose and understand our biggest commonality. You may as well choose somewhere that's accessible to more of the people you're trying to unite.
And Clarke had started planning Oslo, hadn't she? You could connect with her, she seemed eager for it to be a community venture at the time. Once that's completed and you've had more time to refine your Everest plans it'll be easier to see how many of the people who went on the first expedition would be willing or able to join you on the next.
Or you undertake them both at the same time, take those physically prepared for the danger with you to Everest and the others are still able to go and feel part of the project to a location where nature is hopefully less likely to kill them.
[ If this were literally anyone else she'd point out and apologize for phrasing that like she did but since she sent a picture of Kylo Ren's dick to him already she's just going to resist the urge to pull the trigger on that apology. Better not even ... make Strange go there if he didn't already. ]
And good work on this. Thanks for keeping me in the loop.
[ It may have taken a little collaborative steering, but that Rey is clearly actively invested in the success of uniting the Displaced as a team is more reassuring than he can say. ]

You're such a pessimist.

[ Flashback to being dumped on Mt Everest in just his training robes... ]
I'm not saying it's a bad idea. The logistics just need reworking.
[ Entirely. ]

I like the idea of both at the same time.
